I played hide in seek with my brother for many hours in my childhood at the Buchin hardware store and upstairs in my uncle's home you see Rachels brother Marvin was my moms Second husband so Harry was my uncle and Rachel was my Aunt I loved going to there house above the store for thanksgiving and the holidays many times I´d see Harry running the Ham radio while me and Richard would play chess he was hard to beat I don´t think I ever won a game against him as time does not stop we drifted apart but I will always love my uncle he gave me some great memories as a kid I´m so sorry I didn´t get to spend time with him as an adult may god bless Harry and family at this difficult time.

Harry was one of the very first people I met when I moved to the Lehigh Valley back in 1995. I walked into his hardware store and saw the ham radio station at the counter and I knew we would hit off really well. We reconnected many years later when I discovered he and Margo were members of the local Apple user group, another interest we shared in common.
I last talked with Harry about 4 years ago. I was riding my bike in Macungie and rode past his house. He was outside, spray-painting a wooden sign that said "In God We Trust". We chatted briefly, and as I rode away, I knew to cherish that special moment, thinking it very well might be the very last time I see him. And it was.
Thanks, Harry, for everything.

I got to know Harry and Rachel many years ago when we were involved in amateur (ham) radio. I patronized his hardware store many times over the years. I've read numerous articles that he wrote regarding his World War II experiences during the Battle of the Bulge. Since moving away from the Allentown area, I never got a chance to visit his hardware store. We both were involved with operating the sound system at the Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church in Allentown for a number of years. May the Lord bless each member of his existing family as I never knew any of them except Rachel and Margie.
