Helen Ojeda Obituary
Helen M. Ojeda, 55, of Catasauqua, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 in her home surrounded by family and friends. She and her husband, Luis A., celebrated their 30th anniversary. Born in Easton, she was a daughter of Harry Reade and the late Helen Doris (Brunell) Reade. A 1975 graduate of Northampton Area High School, Helen was employed as a CACFP office manager by Lehigh Valley Child Care, Inc. for 12 years. Prior to that, she operated a home day care for at least ten years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, Northampton. She was an avid gardener, baker, and cook and was known as the neighborhood mother. Survivors: Husband; daughter, Jennifer L. Morgan and husband, Daniel M., Catasauqua; son, Joshua L. and fiancee, Amanda M. DiDomenico, Catasauqua; grandchildren, Gionnie Luis Ojeda, Tyler M. and Makenzie E. Morgan; father and stepmother, Dorothy, FL; step-father, Willard Leh, Bethlehem; sisters, Debra J. Smith and husband, Terrance D., Topton, Lynne F. To Helens Family: I am so very sorry to hear of Heles passing!! Helen and I were cousins. We grew up not knowing each other but 5 years ago I am happy to say in my quest to find my lost family, Helen was part of that family.
I had the pleasure to meet you all at the first reunion we had and she made me feel like I was always part of the family. We talked about hopefully meeting other family members and getting together more. I will always cherish the fact that I got to meet such a wonderful woman and her family!!
May God Bless You All and give you the strenght to get through this most difficult time!!

My condolences to the Ojeda family. God was in need of one of his angels so he called Helen back home. Helen was the best food program monitor that we had. I met Helen some years ago as I am a daycare provider. We became very good friends. Helen was so kind and I could call her with not only my food program problems but we also talked about personal problems. Helen always had a kind word that would help uplift a persons spirits no matter what problems was being experienced. I will miss her and a joke between her and I was where am I going to get some chocolate. She knew I loved chocolate and always had some available when I visited the office. God bless you Helen for your kind ways and wonderful smile. Family please know that everyone that Helen touched loved her dearly. I am going to miss my friend but I know that she is wrapped up in Gods arms now and what better place to be. I love you Helen

Helen was a sweet, endearing, kind, thoughtful and precious daughter to me and to my wife Dorothy. She welcomed everyone always with a smile and of course, her wonderful cooking. I am sure she is saying "she knows how much we miss her and sees the pain inside our heart but she is really not so far away and we are really not apart".
