Dear Patty & Family,
I was sad to hear of the passing of Irma. Always remember her great laugh and smile. She always made you fell welcome in her home and when you would see me at the Brewery Tavern. May she RIP
Good times!

Irma was a great woman and wonderful friend. She was the mother or my closest friends. I always enjoyed seeing her and talking to her. Though I haven't seen her for awhile, I had the opportunity of visiting her several times over the last year or so and talking to her recently, which brought me great joy, especially since her mind was so sharp and she had excellent recall. I have many fond memories of her, particularly when I was younger and we had nearly daily contact for many years. I remember her distinctive German accented voice which uniquely characterized her. It is nice to think of her speaking and I can picture her voice as I am writing this. I also remember her working at the Old Brewery Tavern, playing pinochle with her friends, going to parish picnics, eating out in the back yard, and swimming at my house. But most of I remember her overseeing the house on 6th Avenue and guiding me and the boys when we strayed. She had a full and wonderful life and will now rest in peace. Now she will join Eddy, Larry, Tony and Mr. Hartigan in heaven. God bless her soul.

To: Loretta, Patti & family:
Your dear mother is now at rest, in perfect peace & joy, knowing no pain. In the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, her new legs can now run and go, and take in all the wonder & joy of her heavenly family. (I can almost picture Irma wanting to see her new kitchen, cooking up her delicious meals for anyone who is hungry). Your mother (now in peace with your father & brithers) are fully enjoying all the rewards of salvation: they can see the Lord Jesus, who made heaven possible for those who believe in His salvation.
Know the great sacrifices involved in caregiving over days, weeks, months & years of time, everything you did to honor your mother in her later days on earth will be YOUR lasting tribute to your family name. I have stood in amazement at your selfless and tireless love and care you all gave your mother these last years; and I know the Lord will bless you greatly for this. As the gospel (John 15) says "no greater love hath anyone than to lay down His life for his friends" (and family).
You are all in my prayers - your friend, Elizabeth (Liz)
