Jan Rankins Obituary
May 16, 1954 -2/17/21
Jan passed away peacefully with her family in her daughter's home. She will always be remembered for her love of life and family. She will remain in our hearts forever and always.
She lived most of her life in Allentown, Pa and worked as a chef for many years.
Jan was predeceased by her sister and best friend Lee Schlichter Magidson.Her survivors are son Matthew Bowers, his wife Melissa and their two children Stella and Claire. Her daughter Jennifer Bowers, her partner Shawn Dunsmuir, and her children Alex Barnard, Alea Hurdle and Alyssa Bowers. Great grandchildren are Aria and James Hamel.She also leaves behind siblings Karon Kettle and husband Chuck, Kurt Schlichter and wife Rose, David Schlichter and wife Anna, and Sarah Weighknecht and husband Chip. Many nieces and nephews and extended family Meg and Josh Carter and their children Hayes and Calvin.
She will also be greatly missed by her best friend and soulmate Kenneth Rankins.Services will be held via Zoom meeting and invites will be sent for Sunday February 28, 2021 at 3pm.
