Janet Nelthropp Obituary
Janet Frazer Nelthropp, 91, of Allentown, formerly of St. Croix, died Monday, March 16, 2009 in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Willing Nelthropp of St. Croix. Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Reverend Guy and Inez (Rogers) Frazer. Janet worked as a social worker in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands for many years before retiring. She is a 1939 graduate of Barnard College. Survivors: Her sons, Attorney Albert Nelthropp, husband of Suzanne Nelthropp, of Palmerton, Henry Willing Nelthropp of Seattle; grandchildren, Albert, Victoria Ashly, Chrystal; several nieces, nephews. Janet was preceded in death by sisters, Guyda, Inez and Frances. Services: will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in the Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, 18032. Dear Albert and Quique - We were saddened to hear about Janet's passing. She was a kind, stouthearted woman, upright, and courageous. We have fond memories of her from the couple years we lived in her guest house and weathered Hugo and fires with her. May she rest in peace. May you carry on her good will.
