Jean Acker Obituary
Jean B. Acker, 70, of Emmaus, died August 5, 2012 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit. She was the wife of David E. Acker. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2012. Born in Macungie, she was the daughter of the late T. A. Richard and May L. (Reinhard) Glass. She worked as an accounts payable clerk, secretary for a CPA Firm, secretary for Emmaus Ford, and worked in accounts payable for Penn Phone last working in 2011. Survivors: Husband; step brother, Mark W. Reynolds, and wife Linda, of Macungie; and half brother, David R. Glass, of Fleetwood; half sister, Joan Carol Glass, wife of Christian Kazanecki, of Martins Creek; nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Bentley. Services: Private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice or the Lehigh County Humane Society.

I was so surprised and pleased when Jean and Dave stopped in for a little visit. I had to look twice not having seen either of them for years. It was special and I cherish the memory of our friendship.

I'm glad that you and Jean became one of my regulars at work. She always had a smile on her face when I saw her. I loved to hear all the stories. She will be deeply missed. Just remember that she is always with you and she loved you very much.
