Jean A. Talpas

Jean A. Talpas, 84, of Barto, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest of Allentown. She was the loving wife of the late John E. Talpas, until his passing on March, 18, 1984. Jean was born on December 11, 1937 in Lower Nazareth Twp., PA; she was the daughter of the late Lester W. Dieter, Sr. and Mazie (Bittner) Dieter. Jean graduated from Nazareth Area High School Class of 1955. She worked at Moravian Hall Square of Nazareth in Housekeeping. Jean was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Nazareth. She loved playing Bingo and chancing her luck with slot machines. She is survived by a daughter, Jan D. Richards and husband Brian of Barto; grandchildren, Brandon and Jadyn Richards both of Barto; brother, Barry Dieter and wife Betty of Lower Nazareth Twp.; sister-in-law, Jean Dieter of Nazareth; also by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Jean was predeceased by daughter, Joni Brobst; and brother, Lester W. Dieter, Jr. Family and friends of Jean are invited to a visitation on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc., 220 Washington Park, Nazareth, PA 18064. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 410 W. Center St., Nazareth, PA 18064.
