Survivors: wife Sharon A.; brothers Rick and his wife Kathy, Bruce and his companion Barbara, Michael and his wife Jacqueline, Karl and his companion Kristen; nieces and nephews Jason and his companion Emily, Jennifer and her husband Adam, Jessica and her husband Kyle; great nieces and nephews Kyle, Autum, Austen, Jordyn, Blake William, Eladie Jade. He was predeceased by a nephew Bruce Jr.
Services: Calling hours will be held Friday, October 7th, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St. Allentown. Services and burial will be private.
Contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to L.C. Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, c/o the funeral home, 18102. Condolences may be left in his memory at trexlerfuneralhome.com

I first got to know Jeff when he was a dispatcher at Lehigh County Radio, then when he worked at Macungie P.D. and I was at Alburtis P.D. I found him to be dedicated to the job. I also know he brought a lot of joy to people through his broadcasts.

Sharon and the entire Taller family: Uncle Jeffrey was the kindest man and so funny on his programs. He will be missed by so many people. I had the pleasure of meeting him he was in a meeting but took the time out to talk with me.. I called into his TV station we talked at first not on air then later I got brave and did.. My husband and myself would watch his tv show for 2 reasons. My Uncle Herbie Ruth was his sidekick in the back playing his guitar and always wore his back cowboy hat. We also loved to hear him talk and listen to the music which reminded me of the cowboy country shows at the parks when I was a kid. Herbie was my Mothers brother her name was Miriam and mine is Darlene. All the good memories are starting to be just that memories. Condolences to his wife and family, will miss his show.

Jeff was the kindest person. We used Dispatch Answering Service for years and when my husband passed away he put a personal message on my service letting my customers know of his passing and who to call if they needed service. He never charged me. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dear Sharon and family, My sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved "Uncle Jeffrey". My late mother never missed his show on tv. He brought so much joy into her final years. She once told me that she didn't know what she would do if she didn't have his show to watch. He made her laugh and often he would do a shout out to her whenever I saw him at an outdoor show he was at. That made her day so much that she talked about it for days. I know he brought so much comfort and joy to all his listeners and viewers, many of them suffering from loneliness in their golden years. I rode with Uncle Jeffrey on my first night ever as a police officer. From the first night I rode in the car with him I knew he was the most caring and genuine guy I ever met. My parents moved to Coopersburg 2002.
Our dog was use to roaming a 95 acre farm whenever he wanted.
The whole family was staring and laughing out the window when we saw our dog with a police car behind him as he was walking back home.
If he walked any slower he would have fallen asleep.
Uncle Jeffrey came in warned us to keep him in the yard.
Weeks later it was a repeat offense this time my mom n dad realized that officer Tapler was Uncle Jeffrey from their Polka show.
Couple weeks went passes and they were having snacks together My Mom, Dad or convict dog and The ever famous Polka Man Uncle Jeffrey.
So sorry for your loss
