Jennifer Paul Obituary

Jennifer L. Paul, 70, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of William A. Paul. They would have celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary this April. Jennifer was born in Covington, KY a daughter of Donald K. Conley, Sr. of Hellertown and the late Helen (Sander) Conley. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Penn State University and worked as an engineer for the former Western Electric, Agere and Lucent Technologies. She later attended St. Luke's School of Nursing graduating first in her class. This career change was prompted partially by her late mother's diagnosis of Parkinson's disease as well as Jennifer's passion for helping others. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Lehigh Valley Hospital before retiring in 2013. Jennifer was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Macungie. She was a member of the Lower Macungie Garden Club, the Cherry Ridge Woodworking Group and enjoyed quilting and sewing. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her granddaughter Mae.

Survivors: Husband; father; son, Michael, and his wife Janelle Paul of Philadelphia; brother, Donald K. Conley, Jr. and his wife Diane of Lenhartsville; sister, Cindy Baatz and her husband John of Hamburg; granddaughter, Mae; nieces and nephews.

Services: A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held Sunday, February 26th at 3:00 P.M. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 3801 Brookside Rd., Macungie. Friends and family may call from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. Sunday in the church. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.

The news of Jen´s passing saddens my heart. I worked with her 3-11 at LVHN. She was a wonderful nurse and had such a great attitude and sense of humor. The white rose is a symbol of nursing; how sad that another one is gone.
