My grandmother was the feet of the statue. She held her family up, tall and proud. I know, because I feel every bit lost with out her. Grandma brought culture into our lives, by taking trips (Delaware, Canada, Washington D.C.), seeing plays ( Music Man, Oklahoma, the King and I); and learning about all the many places she visited (every continent except Antartica & Australia!). She kept her family strong by organizing reunions every year.We miss her, and will forever love her.

Eulogy read at memorial service:
My grandmother was the most wonderful person you'd ever want to meet. She was a very beautiful, determined, seemingly invincible woman. She left me with so many memories: Summers at the beach, trips to Sam's Club and Kohl's. She had this funny way of mispronouncing words - taco was tayco, Bennigan's was Benningers, Lowes was Lewes.
It's hard for me to realize that she's actually gone. I wish I could have just one more day with her. I would tell her how I love her, how much she meant to me, how she truly helped shape me into the woman I am today. I would let her know how much I appreciated everything she's done for me, everything she's given me. I love you Grandma and I miss you so much.

As I reflect on the passing of Aunt Jenny I look back on many special times at family reunions and the like..I always thought of her as the director(one that ran everything) Other memories I have were of 15 years ago at a Bethany beach vacation we both agreed we like the quieter beach town compared to others..although when it came to politics Aunt Jenny was a staunch conservative..(needless to say we voted for different presidents in the last 4 elections) Either way I will Miss the director of Family events...

So sorry to hear of Joan's passing. She was a good friend to my dad (Eldoris) during his days at the BAVTS and at the lake.
