John P. Ertl
John P. Ertl, 79, of Bethlehem died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Country Meadows in Bethlehem Township. Born January 18, 1934 in Hungary, he was the son of the late Maria (Steszli) and Janos Ertl. He was married to Margit (Domyan) Ertl with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage this past November 13th. John worked for the city of Bethlehem for 35 years in the maintenance department. He was a member of formerly St. John Capistrano and currently Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He was also a member at the Heights Athletic Association. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margit; brother, Sgula Ertl of Hungary; sisters-in-law, Anna Kozo, Helen Pinter and Anna Domyan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Wasko and Maria Mundi. Services: A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our lady of Perpetual Help 3219 Santee Rd., 18020 at 1:15 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem. Contributions: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Johns name to Our Lady Of perpetual Help or to the American Heart Association, 212 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
