I am very saddened to hear of Johns passing. My deepest condolences to his family. I got to know John through the sport of wrestling. Although or kids competed from grade school to High school we always got along and would trade hellos and small talk. Throughout the years a friendship was made and we always would plan a few lunches together to keep in touch, one of them being a month ago. John was a true family man and would always smile when talking about his wife and children. John was a true gentleman in all aspects of life. May God open the gates of heaven wide open for this gentle giant of a man. Rest In Peace my friend.

I am so saddened to hear of Johns passing. My deepest condolences to his wife and children. I had the pleasure to know John thru the sport of wrestling. Although our sons competed year after year we always got along and became friends. John and I would get together for lunch a few times a year and as recent as a month ago. John loved his family deeply and would always have a smile when talking them. I will miss our conversations and lunches together. John was a true Gentleman in every aspect of life. May you Rest In Peace my friend.

I am so saddened and shocked to hear of my dear friend John's passing. Even though we did not see or talk often over the past 30 years, I thought of him often. With every thought of him it always brought a smile to my face. I consider mysel lucky to have had the pleasure of having him my life and my memories. I know he was very proud of his family and I know he is an angel watching over you and he will always be there in your hearts. I know it has been years Judy but please if you need anything at all please don't hesitate to reach out to me even if you just need a good laugh or someone to talk to I will be here . I know John would have done that for me. God bless you all and my thought and prayers are being sent to you. I am sorry I did not make the services I found out of his passing the day after the services.

I am still in shock when I heard the sad news about John. He was a great man, coach, father and friend. I spent many years coaching youth wrestling with John and he helped make Parkland wrestling be one of the top wrestling programs in the Valley. We had so many great times and memories coaching and at wrestling tournaments and meets.
We are so sorry and he will never be forgotten.
Judy, Jaclyn & Ian your in our prayers and God bless John.

Can't believe it was only a week ago I ran into John at Lowe's on the way home from work. Haven't spoken to him for a while, so we spent a good twenty minutes or more in the parking lot catching up, talking about the kids growing up, fixing up the houses, maybe even retiring some day, planning for what's next in our lives. I guess God had other plans. I can assure Ian and Jaclyn that your father was VERY proud of you both! Our sincere condolences, and may God bless your family in these difficult times. We have no doubt John will be watching over and helping guide all of you from above.

Judy, Jaclyn and Ian - I am so sorry for your loss. John was truly a wonderful person. I will miss seeing him walking Lucy, cutting grass, and his colorful stories. I recently had a conversation with him about our trash haulers because I was considering switching. As soon as he got home, he texted me a copy of his bill so I could compare prices. More importantly, I will miss his laugh. God truly does take the good ones. I wanted to be able to pay my respects but I will be out of town Sunday and Monday. Please know that you guys will be in my prayers and if you need someone to talk to, my door is always open. It has been 3 years since I lost my husband and I still think about him every day. Time will not help you forget, but it will help you learn to live without him.

Judy and family, We were shocked and sad to hear of John's passing. We always enjoyed talking to him while walking your doggie Lucy in the neighborhood. Many times passing your house, we saw him hard at work outside & very meticulous mowing the lawn. If you need help with something around the house, please let us know. With Sympathy, Your Friends & Neighbor,

God Bless the Evans family... John will be deeply missed within our neighborhood family. Never forget all he has done and all the love he has spread. Will miss his laughter, non-politically correct humor, love for classical metal, wine tasting and general helping hand (missing a finger of course) when needed. Will not miss the hulk-like back slap. LOVE YOU JOHN EVANs and your wonderful family. RIP and now you can serve as God's handyman!!!
