I only knew/met John when he was a small child, and his family lived in Massachusetts (he was called Jackie then!). After their move to PA, Mary & Dan were great about about sharing their family stories and the joy it brought (to me as well!). A bright light went out with John, but I see a lot of bright lights in his memory.

I am so sorry for an anniversary such as this one, .
I remember him as Jackie, sweet and smiley. His adult picture seems a perfect combination of mother (radiant and joyful) and father (mischievously, and lovingly, playful).

I am not sure if this spot is the appropriate one, but it is all I can find...
I didn't know John well, or for long. I met him when he was a baby, being called Jackie and living in Massachusetts. After the family moved to PA, we kept up via Christmas cards and I watched this beautiful family grow and share their love and joy.
I am so sorry for your loss then, now and forever. xoxo ❤❤

Dear Mary and Family and Jourdan,
there are no words I can say to take your pain away. I cant imagine loosing a child, especially one as special as John. I know this was suppose to be an exciting time with a wedding and my heart has hurt to find we are celebrating JOHNS life in a funeral mass, Mary, I am your friend and I a here for you, please don't hesitate to contact me, anytime. We never met you but my heart is broken for your fiancé when I read the story. God is truly watching her with an eye that she will come to understand and John is the reason why she will always be loved and protected. She will always take every step with him but she did not know those steps were to heaven.

John is one of the best people I know. His kindness knows no bounds and the world is less without him. He had the ability to make everyone smile and feel special. When he was last here in Atlanta I told him to tell his parents they did a great job raising such a good man. Jourdan my heart bleeds for you. He was so very excited about the life you would build together. Just know we all have a very special guardian angle watching over us and helping us to get over the next obstacle.

I'm a long time family friend of Jourdan and the Walker family. I was so excited to hear that she met an amazing guy and was so happy. I was so looking forward to her wedding this Friday and meeting her John.
I can't imagine the devastation she is going through along with her family who loved John and I know treat him as their own. They were all so excited about the wedding. Not to mention, the Hartnett family who raised this wonderful young man. My heart goes out to all of you. I truly am heartbroken for you all! I pray for comfort in such a time of overwhelming sorrow.
I've never been good at quoting or even finding the right scripture but for some reason there happens to be one that came to me? I don't know if it'll help, but here it is "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Phill 4:7)
