John Jandres Obituary

Jandres, John F.John F. Jandres, 80, of Northampton passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 26, 1934 in Northampton and was the son of the late Martin and Anna (Karner) Jandris. He was a supervisor at Cross Country Clothes for many years, prior to that he was a foreman at the J. Schaenaman Co. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 4714. John enjoyed polka's and a beer. John was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan as well as a member of the Coplay Senior Group. John was a member of St Mary's Church of the Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary, Catasauqua. Survivors: his wife of 42 years, Ann M. (Walakovits) Jandres, daughters, Sue Williams and her husband, Michael, of Catasauqua, Karen Gonzalez and her husband, Orlando, of Catasauqua, and a son, Martin Jandres, of Whitehall, 4 grandchildren, Jennifer, Brittany, Nicholas and Jessica, sisters, Mary Toth, Anna Nickisher, Margaret Glickman, Lillian Rogers, Cecilia Catino, Helen Feichtel, Rose Marie Moore and Aimee. Services: a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27th at 10:00 a.m. in St Mary's Church of the Annunciation of B.V.M., 122 Union St., Catasauqua. Family and friends may call Saturday 8:00 -9:30 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Contributions: Online condolences may be submitted to www.reichelfuneralhome.com. Contributions may be presented to the church or St Jude Children's Research Hospital c/o funeral home.
