John Montague Obituary

John (Jack) Montague II
John (Jack) Montague II, of Kingston, passed away on July 3, 2009. He was born September 27, 1922 and was an army veteran of World War II. He served as president of the local United Mine Workers of America Union, and later he was a corporate director of personnel and labor in the transportation industry managing seven major companies including Mack Truck. He and his wife, the former Louise Nicholson, R.N., celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. He was preceded in death by his sons, Thomas and Paul and his sister, Kathleen Foster. Survivors: Wife, Louise; sons, John III, James, Patrick, Larry; daughters, Kate and Molly; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services: The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Maher-Collins Funeral Home, 360 N. Maple Avenue, Kingston, PA 18704. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.maher-collins.com. Contributions: Memorial contributions can be made to, St. Ignatius Church, 339 N. Maple Avenue, Kingston, PA 18704.
