John Schreiner Obituary

75 years of age and longtime resident of Coplay, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 12, 2021 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. The husband of Faye (Werley) Schreiner for 55 years on September 10th, he was born in Allentown to the late John F. and Rose (Mulasits) Schreiner, Sr. John honorably served his Country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, stationed in Kitzingen, Germany, where he married Faye. He was a fourth Degree Knights of Columbus for over 50 years with the Lehigh Valley General Assembly. He was owner of Traffic Consultants since 1975. John was appointed to the Coplay-Whitehall Sewer Authority in 1994, and currently served as Chairman. A member for over 50 years, John was the Second Vice Chair of the Lehigh County Democratic Committee. Very involved in his community, he helped start the Coplay Sports Christmas Parade, was Co-Chair of Coplay Community days for the last 10 years, and was a member of the Whitehall-Coplay School Board for 8 years. John was an avid sportsman, holding membership in several local clubs; he loved to fish, hunt and play golf. Surviving beside his wife Faye; sons John with wife Michelle of Fogelsville, and Mark with wife Jennifer of Allentown; grandchildren Tyler, Trevor, Casey, Madison and Emily; sister Barb Krencz with husband Chuck. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 16, 2021 at 10:00 am in Saint Peters Catholic Church 4 South Fifth Street Coplay, PA 18037. There will be no calling hours. Those wishing to honor John with a memorial contribution, his family suggests a donation to the Church at the address listed above. Thank you.
