To the entire Sorrentino Family,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of John. I met John when I started working at DSC Logistics in 2010. I didn't work directly next to John cause I work in security ofice but have contact everyday through phone. The pain of cancer has affected my family in so many ways as well. He is no longer suffering and has won the battle. His son lil John will always know his dad was a fighter and never gave up. A true champion in every sense of the word. May you cherish his memories and know John is smiling down from heaven.

John, Nina, and family~
This road of hills and valleys has been long and tiresome, I'm sure..but no matter what, one can never be prepared to lose someone so precious to them. I am so sorry to hear of John's passing, especially after he fought SO hard and suffered so much. I kept up with his health through my sister. The right words are tough at times like this..because all you want is your baby back! Everyone has said such nice things about him, though. I only met him and Jenny maybe once or twice at my sister's house so I didn't know him well, but I know young ones that really looked up to him (my nephew and niece). He was a very good influence to so many...and he will be greatly missed. Please know that I will be praying for your family. And may you find some peace in your new grandson. Take care.

Jenny~
I think I met you and John only once or twice, but I played dodgeball twice in John's honor (didn't do so well, but was fun and was for a real good cause). I kept tabs on John's health through my sister. It is doubtful that I or anyone else can really say any words to comfort you at this time, but we all care so much. I believe the only comfort you will have is looking into your litl Baby John's eyes and knowing he is here because of your husband, John. I believe it makes sense to think that John wanted to make sure you would always have a piece of him to carry around with you for all the days of your life, if God decided to take him home and he couldn't be here with you. I wish you all the luck with Baby John. I haven't seen a picture of him yet, but I just know with parents like you and John, he is a beautiful baby boy. I am so saddened by your loss, Jenny, and hope that Baby John may bring you some sort of peace. Hang in there...I know it's been a very long, very emotional road. Prayers are sent your way always for you and Baby John.

I remember John from Ironton Elementary School. I was the Special Ed teacher and used to work closely with Jane Frederick who taught 6th grade. I would work with the kids in her classroom and got to know all the students. Most of the kids did not know who I was or what I did. One day John came up and asked when I would be finished with my student teaching since I had been there a really long time!
I imagine he is in heaven endearing himself to God....and, if I remember correctly, that charming smile could pretty much work magic on everyone. Rest in Peace, John.

The entire Sorrentino family,
My deepest condolences to you all on johns passing. I know he fought long and hard and finally is pain free and at peace. He will always be watching over you all and loving you from heaven. I will always remember him from when we were younger playing football for North Parkland and hanging out with my brother. He was always so sweet and funny and everybody loved him. He was a great person and god sure gained a special Angel. Every time he came into Target when I worked there he always asked how myself and my family were doing. May god give you all the strength and love to get through this terrible time. Rest easy John.
