John M. Spiegel

John M. Spiegel, 86, of Coplay, died February 12, 2019 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of the late Joan (Leh) Spiegel. John was a truck driver for Preston Trucking Company for 33 years until retiring. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Stettler) Spiegel. He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. John was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was very active in the West End Youth Center in Allentown and he was a lover of animals.Survivors: Son: Jay Spiegel of Coplay, Daughter: Jennifer L. wife of Gerald A. Benbow of Coplay, Sister: Elizabeth Spiegel of Whitehall, 11 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren and Many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by Daughters: Jayne L. Cressman and Julie E. Spiegel.A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, at 10 A.M. in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts. Allentown. Call Tuesday, from 9 – 10 A.M. in the funeral home.
