Joline Stein

1939 - 2017

Joline M. Stein, 78, of Kutztown, passed away in the early morning hours, Wednesday, November 29, 2017, with her husband by her side. She was the wife of Feryl H. Stein. Born July 4, 1939, in Fleetwood, she was a daughter of the late Joseph & Esther (nee' Heffner) Ludwig. She was a 1957 graduate of Kutztown High School, a 1958 graduate Marinella Beauty School, and a graduate of New York City Hair Design Institute. She was employed C.K. Whitner's Beauty Salon from 1958-1962. She later had her own beauty salon from 1973 until her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Sally J. (Brent) Sugita, Gilbertsville, and Susan L. (Charles) Grofe, Boyertown; her daughter in law: Jonna Stein; four grandchildren: Andrew, Mallory, Meredith, and Abbe; and a brother: Joseph D. (Brenda) Ludwig, Fleetwood. She was predeceased by her son, Jonathan F. Stein, in 1999, and her brother and sister in law, Jessie & Mary Raifsnyder. Services: Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 11 AM from St. John's Lutheran Church, 201 E. Main St., Kutztown, PA 19530, with the Rev. MaryAnn Hamm, officiating. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 10 AM until time of service at the church. Interment at Hope Cemetery, Kutztown will be private.
