Joseph Bogusky Obituary

Deacon Joseph H. Bogusky, 80, of Wilson Borough, peacefully left his earthly body on May 30, 2023 at LVHN's Hospice Unit, in the arms of his loving wife, Joyce, to reunite with his Heavenly Father. Joseph was born on July 3, 1942 to the late Joseph and Katherine (Foulk) Bogusky. Joseph served in the United States Army as a Sergeant from 1964 to 1966. Joseph was a Journeyman Electrician who owned and operated Bogusky Electric for over 40 years before retiring and joining the IBEW Local 102 in New Jersey.

Joseph was a devout Catholic and became a Deacon in the Catholic Church in May of 1995. Joseph served as Deacon of St. Mary's Annunciation in Catasauqua, PA for 20 years. Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul. Joseph was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting at his brother Ronald's cabin and fishing on the Rideau Ferry Lake in Ontario, Canada. Joseph could talk all day about his fishing adventures with his family and about all the "BIG" fish he caught. He loved being on his boat and exploring the open waters.

Joseph was also a skilled craftsman and loved to build gifts for his family and friends. Joseph could fix just about anything and was always there for his family and friends to lend a helping hand. Above all else, Joseph's greatest love was becoming "Pappy" in March of 1996 with the birth of his granddaughter, Alexandria, the light of his life. Pappy loved his grandchildren, Alexandria, Nolan, Tanner, Addison, Emmett and his great granddaughter, Lila, with all his heart. Pappy could always be found playing with the kids and making them laugh.

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his friends and family, especially his loving wife of 34 years, Joyce, who was his devoted caregiver for the last several years. His children, Karen Berkenstock of Bethlehem, PA, William Berkenstock and his wife, Mary, of Forks Township, PA; his five grandchildren, Alexandria, Nolan, Tanner, Addison, Emmett; and great granddaughter, Lila. As well as his brothers, Donald Bogusky and wife Genevive, James Bogusky and wife Kathleen; sister, Heddy Ann Vymazal and husband Paul; and his five nephews, Brian, Christopher, Jedd, Dondi and Joseph.

Joseph was proceeded in death by his parents, Joseph and Katherine Bogusky, his brother Ronald Foulk and nephew David Bogusky.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Morello Funeral Home Inc, 3720 Nicholas St Easton. PA (Palmer Twp.) My condolences to the Bogusky family

I have known Joe for 60 plus years and spent many great times together.

I was part the so called 24th Street group or as I tell it The group of 5.

We had so many great memories together for about 4 years or so.

I know it had been a very long time we haven´t gotten together but from time to time the memories we shared came up.

Rest In Peace now in the arms of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Good bye ole friend from South 24th Street in Wilson Borough. But you leave fond memories of those good times with Gram Foulk, Aunt Toot and the gang of us all hanging out on their front porch as we went through the teenage years and on to the military and continued in life. You were a good friend, a good pal, God speed on your final journey.

Joyce and Family,
So sorry for your loss.
I don´t need to tell you about what a great person the Lord is welcoming to his table.
I worked for Palmer Twsp. Sewer Dept.
Years ago and Joe would come and do our electrical troubleshooting.
His patients and knowledge was like nothing I´ve ever known.
At that time Alexandria was the light of his life!
We had a lot of fun (and many great lunches)
He will be greatly missed by all who knew this great Being.

Family of Joseph, I am so sorry for your loss. If memory serves me right the Bogusky clan was / is in West Easton. I went to WHS with John and see him once in awhile at George's Diner. I will not attending any services because I do not drive any more because of Diabetes Neuropathy, but will have the family in my thoughts and prayers. Dale Fern.

How do you say goodbye to a friend that you have known for over 70 years? I have known Joe since I was 7 years old, we grew up in the same neighborhood in Wilson Borough. Joe was not only my friend, but he was like a brother to me, and our family treated him like he was a part of our family.

Nothing came easy for Joe, he was always a hard worker. I remember helping cut meat with him at Miz's. We did many things together, played baseball, went hunting, and fishing. We fished in Canada, which he particularly enjoyed.

Joseph was a devoutly religious his entire life, he always helped his church, and was involved in many things within our church. He was an usher, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, board member St Vincent DePaul Society, and his greatest accomplishment was becoming a Deacon in our Church.

To cover Joe's Life and his accomplishments would take a book. I am glad that our paths crossed, in this world you don't have many true friends. In this case, I had a true friend in "Joe", and I will remember him forever, and hopefully we will see each other again.
