Joseph Premecz Obituary
Joseph Frank Premecz, 87, of Allentown, died October 17, 2007. Known to most as Joe Premes, he was married for 59 years to Hazel M. (Nagel) Premecz, his devoted and loving wife who was with him in his final hours at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Born in Allentown to the late Joseph and Mary (Bedek) Premecz, he worked for 40 years as a realtor, owning Joe Premes Real Estate until retiring in 2000. He founded and served as president of Cedar Crest Professional Building Inc. from 1974 to 1989. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Greenleaf Masonic Lodge 561 and St. Johns Lutheran Church, Allentown, and a life member of Woodlawn Fire Company. Survivors: Wife; son, Robert G. Premecz and his wife Joan of Allentown; daughters, Joan L. Sheetz of Allentown, Donna J. Eltz of Trexlertown; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Verna Yakshe in Florida. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007, Trexler Funeral Home Inc., 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday. www.trexlerfuneralhome.com.
