Joyce A.R. Bieber, 76, of Old Zionsville, died September 12, 2008, in her home. She was the widow of Willard A. Bieber, who died in 2006. Born in Old Zionsville, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Sallie (Carl) Stauffer. She worked in the Post Office in Old Zionsville for 28 years and as its Postmaster for the last six years until retiring in 1992. She was an active member of Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church in Old Zionsville and served as its first woman council person, was on its cemetery board and the alter guild. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, AARP and NARFE. Survivors: Son, Bruce B. Bieber and his wife, Terri; daughter, Linda D. Peters and her husband, Jeffrey; grandchildren, Brandi Yanulavich and her husband Steve, Brandon Beiber, and Heather Emert. She was predeceased by brothers, Richard, Albert, Ralph, Howard and Earle Stauffer. Services: Memorial 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik and Reinsmith Funeral Home in Emmaus.
