Kainoa Huber Obituary

Kainoa R. Huber, 23, of Bangor, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Pocono Township. His name means in Hawaiian, leterally "sea of freedom" to honor him. Born on September 5, 1994 in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of Scott and Francine (Hubner) Huber of Bangor. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe and Northampton Counties; and worked with his father in marine construction and diving jobs as well as with David Hawk Construction in Bangor. Kainoa had a great sense of humor and a magnetic personality. He enjoyed playing football at Stroudsburg and Pius X schools. He loved the ocean, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, music, gaming, Oakland Raiders, and spending time with friends. Survivors: In addition to his parents, surviving are a sister, Keohi Huber of Bangor; grandparents, Micheal and Rosalind May of Grand Prairie, TX and Maureen Suprick of Bangor; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Hawaii, New York, Texas, Nevada and Washington. Services: There will be a memorial visitation for family and friends from 1:00 to 3:00PM on Saturday, October 14, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg.
