Katharine Walker Obituary
Katharine L. Walker, 90, formerly of Dalton, PA, died June 23rd, 2013 at Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown. She was the widow of John C. Walker, Jr., who died Feb. 24th, 2010. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late J. Leon and Margaret (Lamb) Olivit. We will never forget the red lipstick and fantastic cookies always made with love. She was our super woman and never asked for anything from us but love. A loss for all of us today, Our grammie, XX. Survivors: daughters, Margaret wife of Dan Larter and Katharine wife of Bruce Etchell; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services: Private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown. Contributions: in lieu of flowers, may be made to Mosser Nursing Home, P O Box 133, 1175 Mosser Rd, Trexlertown, PA 18087. (in memo put for Resident Activity fund in memory of Katharine L. Walker)

Dear Margie and Kathy,
We are deeply sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. Kit was indeed a very dear friend. She and Jeanne shared some great adventures over the years. They rode their bikes to work at the sewing factory, baked for all of the local charities and met for breakfast on Saturday mornings. Kit always seemed to win at Yahtzee or most other games. She's also the only person we know who was born on Groundhog's Day. We could share many, many stories. We will reflect on those fond memories. Kit will be missed.

I worked with and was a very good friend of Kit's at Mallard. I had lost touch with her in recent years and wondered where she was. Kit was one of a kind and unforgettable. I am so sorry for your loss.
