Kenneth H. Bickert

Kenneth "Kenny" H. Bickert, 86, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in Gracedale, of Nazareth. He was the husband of the late Julia T. (Klepeisz) Bickert, who passed away on September 19, 2013. Kenneth was born August 8, 1932 in Lower Nazareth Twp. He was the son of the late Sylvester and Erma (Eckert) Bickert. Kenneth worked in maintenance for Penn Dixie Cement, of Nazareth & the former Dixie Cup, of Easton. He honorably served in the U.S. National Guard for 22 years. Kenny was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, of Nazareth. He was a life member of Point Philips Rod & Gun Club, Bath American Legion Eckley Patch Post 470, Holy Family Club and the Vigilance Hose Co. He was an active member of VFW Post 4366 and East Lawn Fire Co. Social Club. Kenny enjoyed being with his friends at the clubs always with a smile on his face. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's band, plays, and sporting events. He also drew great pleasure attending Nazareth Girls Basketball practices & games; he enjoyed handing out candy to players, fans and refs. Kenny was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by son, Richard Bickert and wife Andrea, of Nazareth, daughter, Donna Heiserman and husband Randy, of Nazareth. Grandchildren, Laura Bickert Ciarlello and husband, Alessandro, Amie Tracy and husband Erik, Courtney and Ryan Heiserman. Great-grandchildren, Lucia and Roman. He was pre-deceased by brothers, Warren, Paul, Harvey and Sterling Bickert. Services will be Monday, November 26, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc., 220 Washington Park, Nazareth. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Holy Family Church, of Nazareth. Burial with Military Honors, in Holy Family Cemetery, of Nazareth. Calling hours will be Monday, in the funeral home, from 9:00-10:30 AM.
