Dr. Breckon was truly the epitome of a deeply caring and dedicated physician. He was relentless in leaving no stone unturned when it came to his patients and is the reason my son is alive today. I'm sorry to have learned of his passing so late, but our immense gratitude extends beyond time. Our sympathy to the family for your tremendous loss.

i have been composing a letter to Dr. Breckon for the last year. I deeply regret taking so much time to write it that I no longer have an address to send it to. He was my family Doctor for most of my young years while i was living in PG. I was young and having a difficult time dealing with my mother's illness. He gave me a job, made sure i didn't become a teenaged mother and became the person that taught me that kindness and strength must always be combined with a wicked sense of humour. Larry was a good friend to me and my family. I was devastated to hear of his passing. I will miss him. Yes he was our family doctor and our friend and always always took time for me and my family. My prayers are with his family.

I just learned of this wonderful man's passing and there are tears in my heart. He was my family doctor and I became his first patient with certain medical problem. His excitement about it may have offended others but for me I was laughing for it showed how much he cared. My condolences to his family, friends and all those that he touched. RIP. Dr. Breckon. I was honoured to have met Larry through a friend of my dad Lloyd Major back in NFLD. Years later I stayed at Larry's place in P.G. Awesome man. Prayers and thoughts go out to his family. He will be dearly missed.

Fortunately I had opportunity to briefly get to know Dr. Breckon. I regret we didn't get round to wetting lines and sharing more stories. Larry was indeed one of a kind, an amazing, brilliant and giving person. My sincerest condolences to his loved ones.

Sorry to have lost touch over the years and how sad that Larry's passing would be what makes us realize how short life is and how much we should cherish family. I have many fond memories of you all and Larry back in Nfld. and remembrances of good times in the Breckon household. Mum still has memories of her childhood spent with her favourite cousin GAW. I was amazed and shocked to hear of his passing. I knew Larry during my time working at Prince George Regional; he was a pleasure to know and to chat with. Larry was my Doctor when we lived in Prince George and he helped me deliver my first two sons. He quickly became my friend and confident. Not only was he an amazing doctor he was funny and genuine. He was a rare person very likeable instantly. Larry and Ann attended my son's baptism. It is my finest memory. Our deepest sympathy to his wife and all his family. Larry was a pleasure to know.

Dr. B. was such a fantastic family Doctor and a pleasure to have known. I have such great memories of him. My Dad says he used to bum smokes off my Mom during an office visit. Our family was quite upset when he left Family Practice to go into Radiology but had he not done that, our niece (Brecken - same name but different spelling) would not have had the opportunity to know and work with this wonderful man in the Radiology Department. We met Larry and IIona only as couple of years ago. Larry instantly became a friend and someone you could count on, showing up in the everning one night unannouncred to help out with some work on the roof. He clearly touched everyone he met and left a standing impression. He always had time to visit and chat and was only only. Larry you were a real character. Ilona, Hannah, Michael, Luke and the rest of the Breckon family: You had the privilege of living with and knowing a wonderful, charming, sincere, irreverently humourous husband, father, in-law and friend. We knew him first as our doctor, later as part of the medical community team at UHNBC and more recently as husband to Ilona and dad to the children. We assumed he'd always be present but that wasn't to be. You are already greatly missed, Larry.
It is with hearts/minds full of memories that we move forward while lifting a martini glass or two. Here's oTo You Larry, .... a class act, a charming raconteur and all round great person in your professional and personal life. i am very sorry to hear of Larry's passing. He was my family physician when I was in my 20's and there for the births of my daughters and until he turned to radiology. He was not only my doctor but felt like a friend. He was always willing to listen. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.
Larry was in fine form, hosting the Artists in the Garden at his Ridgeview Drive home. What an enjoyable day this was!

Larry was a real character. I had the pleasure of knowing the whole Breckon family in St.John's. I was a student of Larry's dad, Dr.S.W.Breckon, head of the physics dept. at Memorial University . I was asked to help Larry pass his Calculus, a course that did not interest Larry at all. Gladly , we got through it and Larry went on to become a much loved doctor. I keep in touch with his brother Ross and family in Victoria and did have the chance to see Larry on one of my visits to PG , when I went to visit his mum. After all these years, Larry remembered our calculus struggle and gave me a wooden bowl he had carved--such a classy man. I can only imagine he will be sorely missed by his immediate family.All of you and Larry will be in my prayers.
