Leon C. Lichtenwalner

Leon C. Lichtenwalner, 85, of Emmaus, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Jane M. (Miller) Lichtenwalner to whom he was married 46 years. Born in Upper Macungie Township, July 18, 1936, Leon was the son of the late Carl T. and Helen M. (Litzenberger) Lichtenwalner. He was employed as a farm laborer at Seiple Farms in Northampton County before retiring. Prior to that, he was a grounds keeper at Lafayette College and Cedar Crest College. In 1953, Leon's working career began on his family farm on Brookside Road in Macungie. Leon also dug graves and foundations at Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown. He was a member of Living Stone Fellowship in New Tripoli. Leon was a past president of Allentown Crime Watch and Salvation Army, in Allentown.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Jane; son, Noel C. Lichtenwalner of Fogelsville; several nieces and nephews; predeceased by sisters, Carol Ann Lichtenwalner and Doris J. Marsteller.

Service: Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with Pastor Jean Masiko officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Cedar Union Cemetery, Cetronia.
