Leonard Frey Obituary

Leonard L. Frey Sr.
Leonard L. Frey Sr., 74, of Northampton, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in ManorCare, Bethlehem. Born on Sept. 7, 1934, in Moore Township, he was the son of Florence (Heffelfinger) Frey of Allentown and the late Joseph L. Frey. Leonard served in the Marine Corps Reserve. He was a mechanic by trade and was employed for more than 20 years at Service Tire Company, Bethlehem. From 1993 until his retirement in 2003, he worked at Aharts Market, Bath. Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing and his family, especially being with the cowboy and spending time with cherished friends at Mulligans Family Golf. He was a member of Emmanuels Evangelical Lutheran Church, Moore Township. He held life memberships in American Legion Post 470, Bath, and Petersville Rod & Gun Club. Survivors: Mother; wife of 55 years, the former Catherine L. Druckenmiller, who he wed on June 20, 1953; three sons, Leonard L. Jr. and his wife Sandra, Randy L. and his wife Tara, Raymond L.; daughter, Linda L.; brother, Henry C. and his wife Ruth; three grandchildren, Philip, Brandon, Kimberly; two great-grandchildren, Karissa and Spencer cowboy; many nieces, nephews and their families; grand dog, Max. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, Emmanuels Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, Moore Township, Bath. Interment, Valley View Cemetery. Viewing, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, George G. Bensing Funeral Home Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown, Bath, and 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church. Contributions: May be made in memory of Leonard L. Frey Sr. to either his church or Heartland Home Care & Hospice, 1227 W. Liberty St., Allentown, PA 18102.

Linda and family i know your going through a hard time right now because we just went through it with barbs dad but no matter how much you try to prepare yourself you can't but know he is being well taken care of and just think he is playing golf with debbie, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. i have to laugh when i sat with dad a few times he made me laugh and those are the thoughts of him i am going to remember. kathy
