Leslie Williams Obituary

Leslie "Skip" John Williams, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

Born on August 4, 1943, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Leslie R. and Christina (Berry) Williams.

Following his graduation from Liberty High School, Skip served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam. After his discharge from the military, he went on to work as a construction foreman for Schultz. He enjoyed fishing, water skiing, and wood working. He especially loved his grandchildren and his precious dogs, Audi, Raider, Snoogy and Kilo.

Skip will be dearly missed by his wife, Susan Jane (Griffith) Williams; daughters, Michele Lynn Vanderputten and her husband, Todd, and Kira Marie Leiderman and her husband, Fred; sister, Diane Shaffer; and three grandchildren, Ashley Vanderputten, Freddy and Emma Leiderman.

In addition to his parents, Skip is preceded in death by his son who passed in 2011, Brock Williams.

In keeping with Skip's wishes, there will be no services.

"A soldier has passed away today." You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow Vietnam Veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Farewell fellow veteran. A Navy Vietnam Veteran.
