When I think of Linda not being with us I feel so badly that she didn't get the chance to watch her children and grandchildren continue to grow and thrive. We are so lucky to see her grandsons Will and Ryan on their life journeys. I always think about how much she loved them and how much she would have treasured them and enjoyed spending time with them. She was an exceptional woman in so many ways including being a wonderful grandmother.

I had the good fortune to become part of Linda's family when my daughter, Kate, married her son, Avi. She and Ron made us feel so welcome right from the beginning. I remember her telling us that the Hebrew language had a special name for us as in-laws and I thought to myself what a wonderful idea. Besides being related by marriage Linda and I shared a special bond because we were both breast cancer survivors. There is a special bond among survivors with the bottom line being that you want anyone to also beat this disease if you have been lucky enough to do so thus far. Just by sheer will you want to ensure they survive. Linda endured brutal chemotherapy without a complaint and always had the most positive of attitudes. I don't know how she did it and I have the utmost respect for her incredible strength. She was there to take care of her grandchildren because she wanted so much to watch them grow and develop even though she was waging an ongoing battle with the most vicious of diseases. I am in awe of her as a warrior. We all can learn from her warmth, love, and her ability to live life to the fullest no matter what you are dealt. I am grateful to have had her in my life and heartbroken at her loss.
