Lloyd Lick Obituary

Lloyd L. Lick, Jr.
Lloyd L. Lick, Jr., 85, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He and his wife, Betty L. (Charles), celebrated their 63rd anniversary. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Lloyd L. and Matilda E. (Dettra) Lick, Sr. Prior to retiring in 1983, he was employed at the former New Jersey Zinc Company of Friedensville as a shift boss for 25 years. Lloyd was also a delivery person for Michael Thomas Floral Design for many years. He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Center Valley. A World War II veteran, he served in the European and Pacific Theaters with the Navy Seabees. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Jacqueline Evans-Missmer, Allentown; sons, Douglas W. and wife, Cindy, Quakertown, Dennis D. and wife, Donna L., Dillingersville; sisters, Margaret Bogert, Salisbury Township, Violet Covely, Allentown; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter. Brothers, Franklin and Donald, and sister, Verna Wacik, preceded him in death. Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 1335-37 West Linden St. Allentown. Call 12:30 until service time.
