I am now seventy and still remember Miss Rader vividly as a student in her seventh grade English classroom at Northeast Junior High School. Her sense of smell could not only target the unwitting gum chewing culprit but she could also name the signature smell. She was rightfully feared by the immature student and highly respected among the few mature. I recall, being myself an English teacher at the time, calling her on the phone at a time of her retirement and gushing my praise to her excellence as a teacher and her steadfast belief in me as a student and a teacher. I miss you Miss Rader. You were one of a kind!

I wish to extend my condolences and deepest sympathy to the Rader and Lambert families. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Rader, I know she will be deeply missed. My heartfelt prayer is that God bless and watch over her loved ones and bring them comfort in their time of sorrow. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Lois was already advisor to the Freedom Forum when I was hired to take Liberty Life at LHS in 1969. She was a great source of help and a very worthy opponent in the intra city BASD high school rivalry. She was well respected by all and feared by a few who knew she was capable and respected in the newpaper business and the field of education.

My deepest condolences to her family. You knew what a treasure she was to us all.

The Lehigh Valley Braille Guild expresses our sympathy to the family of Lois Rader. We appreciate the many volunteer hours she gave to the transcribing of print into braille, as do the visually impaired students she helped. The years she served as our Chairman and our friend will be remembered.

My sincere sympathy in the death of Lois. She was my inspiration to become a journalist in high school. This was the first time I really enjoyed a subject! She was an excellent teacher.
