Derrico, Jr., Louis Derrico, Jr., Louis A.Louis A. Derrico, Jr., 82, of Bethlehem passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice House. He was the loving husband of Anna L. (Stimmel) Derrico for 56 years. Born on January 4, 1933 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Louis "GiGi" Sr. and Rose (Shambora) Derrico. Louis graduated from Liberty High School and had attended Penn State at the former Allentown campus. He served his country honorably during the Korean War with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Louis worked at Homer Research Labs, Bethlehem Steel in the Fatigue and Fracture Lab for 36 years, until retiring in 1992. Survivors: Surviving along with his loving wife; sons, Louis A. III of Walnutport, Anthony R. and wife Cathy of Dayton, OH; daughter, Denise A. Garza and husband Robert of Delmar, NY; grandchildren Nicky, Louie, IV, Joey, and Lydia; sister, Diane M. Petko and husband Stan of Bath; brother, John P. and wife Lorraine of Fountain Hill. He was predeceased by siblings, Rick Derrico and Jean Jordan. Services: 2 pm Friday Oct. 30, 2015 at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 1-2 pm. Burial with military honors will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or The American Diabetes Assoc.
