Lucy S. (Soda) Peters, 94, of Bethlehem, PA died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born February 10, 1919 in Niles, OH she was the daughter of the late Rose (Loprete) and Theodore Soda. She was married to Earl E. Peters who passed away on April 30, 2003. Lucy worked at the Bethlehem Steel as a clerk in the billing department for 30 years retiring in 1975. She volunteered at St. Lukes Hospital and Muhlenberg Hospital. She was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Bethlehem and its Seniors Group. Survivors: Lucy will be lovingly remembered by her son, Donald D. Peters; daughter-in-law, Shelia Peters; step daughter, Barbara wife of Sidney Sykes; sisters, Mary Spirk and Jennie Harrison; grandchildren, Donald, Christopher, Brian and Angela; and six great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Ann Soda and brothers, Ralph and Frank Soda. Services: A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery.
