Luz Delia Fernandez
Luz Delia Fernandez, 71, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Antonio M. Fernandez for 54 years. Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Tomas and Dolores (Guevarra) Rivas. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a thread maker for 20 years. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church. Survivors: Husband, Antonio; daughters, Sandra of New York City, Gloria, Louisa Maldonado and Dolores, all of Bethlehem; sons, Manuel of Bethlehem, Jorge of Tampa Bay, Florida and Tomas of Bethlehem and Juan; sisters, Nora, Tona, Aurora, Juana and Ursula; brothers, Marco and Benjamin; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 321 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem. The family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday in Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Contributions: May be made to the church.
