I was a reading specialist in the BASD with Lydia. I remember her so well at our meetings! She had lots to share, was very animated and helpful to all of us! She was passionate about her work with the children and I will always remember her as a `ball of fire´ (in a good way!) at our meetings. I am sorry for your `earthly´ loss of Lydia. She will always be with you~

Lydia was a truly extraordinary human. She taught me so much. Her humor, her intelligence, her sense of beauty, and her passion were inspiring. She sought justice in a world filled with injustice. I will truly miss her.

I am so sorry to hear about Lydia. She loved her students and was an excellent reading specialist. She was a true mentor for teachers also. After she left our school, I missed our sharing of books and our discussions of what we read. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

What a loss! My heart breaks for Lydia´s family. Not only was she a dedicated mom, sister and friend, she was such a dedicated teacher. Her passion was to teach children how to read so they could travel the world in books. God bless her soul and her family member.
