James Schmittle Sr.
February 2, 2011
Ray, I am sorry to learn of Margaret's death. We have not touched base much in recent years, but I have enjoyed our Christmas exchanges and the picture of your plane. And enjoyed seeing you at the class reunion awhile ago. It is hard to lose a wife. Louise has been gone four years now this week, and I still see her in the house. It will be hard for you. You will have to live with your memories, and I assume they will all be good. I would like to see you in Girard, but I just got out of 31 days in the hospital this past week and am learning to walk, etc., again. I do wish you could stop in while you are in Erie. God bless you, Ray. Peace, Jim Schmittle

My sincere condolences to relatives of this beautiful lady. Margaret quietly shared her talents -- singing in the choir, thoughtful opinions, interesting stories of travels, etc. with me as we interacted at St. Matthew ELCA both at choir practice and a few private piano lessons.

Margaret has always been a very thoughtful woman . She will be missed in our Sigma Kappa Alumni group. I enjoyed our many times together as sisters.
