To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Pat, Marvin Jr. and family,

I am sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers are with you. I wrote these poems, and I hope they help you as much as they helped me.

"Not Gone"

This is for you, I've been on your mind
If you search your heart, I'm easy to find
And if you could see me, you wouldn't be sad
Think of it as a long trip, the best I ever had
I know you miss me, If I could I would do the same
But there are no tears past the gate, or hanging your head in shame
Try to remember, the love we have shared
I'm here with my Father, and I'm never scared
If you could imagine, the most beautiful day on earth
Magnified by a 1,000, the sight of this place and all its worth
I have one request for you, and this I say.....
When you think of me, lift your head and enjoy today.

You'll Think of Me

There will be a time you think of me, and not be sad
There'll be a time you'll think of me, and then get mad
How can you leave me, without saying goodbye?
Don't you know how much I will miss you?
Don't you know how much I cry?.....
My heart has been broken, and doesn't know how to mend
I don't want this love for you, to ever ever end
Then I would say to you.....
It won't,.. I'm right here
I know not in body, but in spirit keep me near
I won't ever forget you, and you do the same
Hold each other for me, and smile when you say my name

Love, Tina

To the Dengler family;
What a shock when I read this morning paper.
I just saw Marvin at the fair last year. He was a special person and will never be forgotten. Your family will be remebered in our prayers. He was like a seceond father to me after my own father passed away many years ago. Always willing to help someone and be a good listening ear. He is now in a better place resting with our Lord.

To The Dengler Family, we send our most sincere and heartfelt condolences. We got to know Marvin several years ago when he did some concrete work for us. What a sense of humor he had, we always had a good laugh with him, and Jeff was proud of the red hat Marvin had given him. We always stopped in to see him at the Allentown Fair and he would tell us to pull up a chair and sit awhile to talk. The last time we got to see him was in October when he stopped by to check on a project he was going to do for us, and as usual, he had a smile, as we chatted about what was going on in the world and in our lives. What a shock to see that he had passed away. He was a good man, good friend, soft spoken, and he enjoyed life. He certainly will be missed, as he touched the lives of many people. He will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

There are no words to speak or write to take your pain away. Your Holy Father will be with you to help you deal with your loss. Harvery is lost, he expressed his sadness by saying "I lost best friend". There are a lot of people who will join you in missing Marvin. Pat, you and your son have shown Marvin nothing but love and respect all these years. You both have been blessed for having him. Remember, we will always be here for you and for Marvin Jr, and family. I pray God touches everyone with his Holy Hand filled with love and compassion for you all.

God Bless You

I got to know Marvin through Kutztown Day. He was one of our vendors and his shaved ice were always a huge hit with both our Kutztown Day committee and the visitors. He also loved his baked goods! My mom will miss baking for him this year. We will miss seeing him every first Sunday in August. He always had a smile and a laugh for us. The Kutztown Day committee sends our thoughts and prayers to his family at this difficult time.

Marvin was one of the greatest persons you could ever meet. I have known him and his family all my life. My parnets were friends with his family and I remember going to their house behind Hess
Brothers in the alley. My mom and Dad would help cut peppers and onions for the fair, we went to all the weddings and I remember the boys dancing in the pig trof,we shared so many good times. He truely will be missed by everyone. The fair just will not be the same with out Marvins smiling face and hello to everyone. I will miss him and all of yous are in my Prayers.

I am very sorry to hear of Marvins passing! It's amazing that I recently mentioned his name to another old friend about him since recently returning from Oklahoma after 12 years! I wanted to get to the Fair to see him but missed out on that. How regretful now that was. To his family; We were very old friends since childhood and I'm sure he will be missed so very much and send my condolences! He's in good hands I'm sure!

Marvin was such a great person and he will be missed greatly. I worked for him in the fair stand and he was always making us laugh. He used to plow my mom's driveway when she got too sick to do it and he used to wave every time he would drive up to the shop. I will miss him greatly and remember him always.
