Mary Yanakis Obituary

Mary (Kostandelis) Yanakis, 92, of Schnecksville, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Peter J. Yanakis. Born in Staten Island, NY, January 17, 1927, Mary was the daughter of the late Costas and Foteni (Zoundos) Kostandelis. She attended Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Bethlehem.Survivors: In addition to her loving husband of over 66 years, she is survived by her three children, sons James and Dean; daughter, Eleni (Katz) and her husband, Jeff. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Collin, Jackie, Dimitri and Stavros.Service: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 1607 West Union Blvd. Bethlehem. Viewing from 10:00 – 11:00 am Friday in the church. Interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
