Melba E. Fleisher
Melba E. (Dodge) Fleisher, 93, of Germansville, formerly of Harrisburg, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Cedarbrook - Allentown. She was the wife of the late Gerald L. Fleisher. Born in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Melba was the daughter of the late Ezra J. and Mabel E. (Lehman) Dodge. She was employed at the former Harolds Dry Cleaning in Harrisburg for 15 years before retiring in 1966. She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli. Survivors: Daughter, Martha Andrews and her husband, Joseph, of Germansville; granddaughters, Jennifer Villard and Jessica Smith; great granddaughter, Vanessa Villard. Services: A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery, 2735 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, with the Rev. Kevin E. Fruchtl officiating. No calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-196.
