Merrill Landis Obituary
Merrill A. Landis, 40, of Emmaus, formerly of Saucon Valley, died on July 28, 2010 in her home. She was the wife of Samuel N. Landis, Jr. They spent 16 years together and celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary March 20, 2010. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Bruce C. Ferretti of Sarasota, FL and the late Carole A. (Smith) Ferretti. She was the former owner and operator of the Emmaus Jewel Shop. She was a member of the Lehigh County Humane Society and a contributing member of the Emmaus Commemorative Gardens. She was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church, Emmaus. Survivors: Husband; father and stepmother, Bruce C. and Catherine Ferretti of Sarasota, FL; stepdaughters, Marlea Landis of Raleigh, NC, Dana wife of Jeffrey Hashagen of Macungie, and Kelsey Landis of Tampa, FL; sisters, Noel wife of Richard Reale of Macungie and Nicole Mozeko of Hamburg; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a stepson, Trever W. Landis. Services: Funeral Services Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Anns Catholic Church, 415 South Sixth Street. Viewing Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Monday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus.
