Michael A. Bonner, 87, of 17 E. Center St., Nesquehoning, died November 27, 2994 in Lehighton. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Griffith) Bonner. Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Eugene V. and Anna (Donegan) Bonner. He was employed as a teacher and guidance counselor for Panther Valley School District for 38 years retiring in 1978. He was a chief petty officer during World War II in the Navy. He was a graduate of Albright College, class of 1939. He was inducted in Albright Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Nesquehoning. Survivors: Sons, Michael and his wife, Ann Marie Pagano, of Andreas, Eugene of Reading, Terrance and David, both of Nesquehoning; daughters, Elizabeth, wife of Francis Colecio, of Tresckow, Grace Ann, wife of Edward Kocha of Nesquehoning, Mary Bonner of Jensen Beach, Fla.; sister, Sarah Sheerin of New Carlton, Md.; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning. Mass, 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment, parish cemetery. Call 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
