Michael Hipszer Obituary

Michael P. Hipszer
Michael P. Hipszer, 90, widower of Alliene (Christman) Hipszer, formerly of Pennsburg, died October 7, 2011 at Sanatoga Court. He was a son of the late Stanley and Catherine (Zielinski) Hipszer. He retired in 1984 as the Assistant Foreman of the Maintenance Department from Superior Tube Company after 43 years of employment. He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. He was a member of the Upper Hanover Township Authority for 12 years. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, the Harrys Yeoman Golf League for 22 years, the Upper Perkiomen Golf League and the Harleysville Senior Citizen Center and he was a former volunteer for the United Way. Survivors: Sons, Ray and wife, Elizabeth, of Barto, Michael Jr., and wife, Kathy, of Shillington, Neil, and wife, Barbara, of Stowe, Glenn, and wife, Janet, of Pennsburg, Jan, and wife, Melanie, of Anchorage, AK, Dana, and wife, Dyan, of Pennsburg and Stephen, and wife, Cindy, of Hummelstown; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers Stanley and Thomas and a sister, Olga Shearer. Services: 11 a.m. Mass Friday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at church. Arrangements are by Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville. Offer condolences at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
