Michael Kirk Obituary

Michael Timothy Kirk, 35, of Allentown passed away peacefully at his home on September 17th with his loving family following a courageous battle with sarcoma. He worked as a sous chef in various New York City and Lehigh Valley restaurants. He embraced fatherhood, a passion that also spelled out in his love of animals, reading and video games. He is survived by the love of his life, son Maxwell Girard and Maxwell's mother, Caitlin Costello; his mother Adriane B. Kirk; brother Matthew W. Kirk and partner Brandy Davis along with multiple faithful and loving family including aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends, too many to name. He was preceded in death by his father Max F. Kirk, beloved aunt Kathy Kirk, and uncle Douglas Heckert. Deep in our hearts you will always stay, loved and remembered every day. A memorial service will be arranged at the family farm in the near future. Contributions can be made to the Maxwell G. Kirk Educational Fund, in care of his family. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.

Dear Michael, It's been seven years. We wish you were still here to see your son grow up and fish with your brother and hug your mother. Maybe you are racing and fixing cars with Dad? You are missed.

Remembering this nice young man and his loving family on this day

Dear Adriane and Matt,
We are so sorry and saddened at Michael's passing. He struck me as a gentle soul, who certainly loved cats and other critters. I so hoped and prayed a miracle could save him one more time, so that his young son could know what a wonderful father he had. I could picture the two cooking together in the kitchen, making messes and laughing belly laughs. Life is not fair but certainly is precious.
