Nancy L. Edwards Bear

Nancy L. Edwards Bear, 85, of Dunedin, FL and formerly of Allentown, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, in St. Petersburg, FL. She was the wife of the late Stanleigh L. Edwards who passed away in 1993 and the late Ernest R. Bear who passed away September 19, 2021. Nancy was born in Allentown, a daughter of the late Eugene L. Ziegler, Sr. and Laura L. (Stocker) Ziegler. She was employed as a church secretary for 15 years by the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Whitehall and as a pre-school teacher by "Pat-A-Cake" Corners, Whitehall before retiring. Nancy was a member of Christ E.C. Church, Allentown and Curlew United Methodist Church, Palm Harbor, FL. She was a member of the Worship Committee at Curlew U.M. and taught Sunday School, Bible School and was very active in Adult Bible Study Groups at Christ E.C. and Curlew U.M.

Survivors: Daughter, Laurel S. and her husband Jacob Zimmerman of St. Petersburg, FL; sons, Scott A. and his wife Brenda Edwards of Raleigh, NC; Guy E. and his wife Jeannette Edwards of Allentown; brother, Eugene L. Ziegler, Jr. and his wife Lynnzie Hand of Chandler, AZ; five grandchildren, one great-grandson and two great-granddaughters; stepdaughters, Linda S. and her husband Stevan Ralich of Dyer, IN, Judith Miller of Dayton, OH; four step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.

Services: A funeral service to celebrate the lives of Nancy and Ernest will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 13th in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 9:00 – 10:00 A.M with services to follow at funeral home. www.stephensfuneral.com.
