So sorry to hear of Mr. Vipond's passing. My most sincere condolences to his close friends and wonderful family. I met one of his children through the Arts in Toronto and have always tried to thank him through his agent for very kindly hosting me in NYC in the 80s. My sincere condolences. And certainly a very successful long life to celebrate albeit with the sadness at losing someone so supportive, warm and talented! Sylvia Vickers (St. John's,

Dear Matthew and Jamie and Kathy - I only just found out today (February 14/23) and very sad to hear it. I was very fond of him as was my late wife Barbara. I remember his brilliance as James Joyce in a production of Gallacher's Mister Joyce is Leaving Paris that I directed in Montreal (Centaur Theatre) and later on in Toronto at the Poor Alex. It was 1970. My god, fond memories of you both as babies and of Kathy's kindness, warmth and lovely smile. My best to you all, Alan

I had the privilege of being directed by him in Street Car
Named Desire. He was sensitive and brilliant. Later I worked with him in summer stock in North Bay Ontario. May God welcome him and embrace him this good and gifted man. Michael Meagher Montreal Canada

Neil was a brilliant actor and director. I remember seeing him play James Joyce and going backstage entirely awestruck in the 1970's. We became friends in and outside theatre; his work in Montréal, Toronto and New York City remain vivid in my mind all these years later. The world has lost a great gift. My deep condolences to Jamie and Mathew and their spouses, to Kathleen Grace, and all who loved him.

I was so saddened to hear of Neil´s passing. I will miss talking with him so much. He had such an impressive past and never once did he mention to me that he was a star-which makes him even that much more of one!! He will always be one of my favorites!- May you now and forever Rest In Peace. With my deepest heartfelt sympathy extended to his family... Robin from St. Luke´s.
