Patricia Velekei

Patricia Velekei, 76, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 17, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the loving wife of Emil Velekei with whom she shared over 54 years of loving marriage. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Eleanor (Long) Dietz. Patricia was a graduate of Bethlehem High School, class of 1959. Patricia worked for Moravian College as a Staff Assistant. She was a member of Saint Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church where she served as a Council member. Patricia was a cheerleading coach and treasurer for the Bethlehem Raiders, President of the PTA at Lincoln Elementary School and a Cub Scout Secretary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and grand puppies. SURVIVORS: In addition to her loving husband Emil, she will be remembered by her sons, Greg Velekei and his wife Tracy of Northampton and Mark Velekei of Bethlehem; Daughter, Lisa Zarzecki and her husband Jim of Bethlehem Township; Brother, Ronald Dietz and his wife Nancy of Allentown; Sister, Beverly Kisslinger and her husband Larry of Bethlehem; her loving Grandchildren, Sean Velekei and his wife Molly, Collin Zarzecki, Sydney Zarzecki, Tori Kline, and Dayna Younis and husband Alex and nieces Tracey, Chris and Tiffany and nephew Ron and their families. SERVICES: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem 18018. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. and also on Friday Morning from 10A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
