Paul Yentsch Obituary

Paul J. Yentsch
Paul J. Yentsch, 80, died Monday, October 11 in his home in Allentown. His wife, Emma H. (Juretus) Yentsch, died August 27, 2003. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Paul and Florence (Sleight) Yentsch. He was a 1941 graduate of Allen High School and a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Allentown. He was a life member of the Fearless Fire Company 14 and a member of the Italian-American Bocce Association. Employed for more than 40 years with Bethlehem Steel Corp., he spent most of his career working as a crane operator and on the blast furnace. He also served his country in the Army during World War II. Survivors: Daughter, Paula J., wife of Wayne Hartranft, of Allentown; son, Keith P. and his wife, Kaye, of Northampton; sister, Anna Achey of Emmaus; grandchildren, Justin and Shauna Hartranft and A=Zachary and Jesse Yentsch. He was predeceased in death by a sister, Dorothy Yentsch, and a brother, Robert Yentsch. Services: graveside, 11 a.m. Thursday, Garden of Peace Cemetery, 410 Fullerton Avenue, Whitehall. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2121 City Lind Road, Bethlehem 18017.

Keith and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I came across Paul's obituary while searching for a friend's. I remember your dad as being a very nice man and I'm sure he will be missed by all who knew him. I am also very sorry to see that you lost your mom last year. I was not aware of that.

We will miss Ace very much, we became friends of his through the Bocce Club. Played cards with him many times, and also played Bocce with him.
