Peter Meza Obituary

Peter Meza, 85, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, June 30, 2016, in Kirkland Village. His wife of 56 years, Germaine Ann (Salabsky) Meza, died in 2008. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Peter and Rose (Frant) Meza. A graduate of Marquette University, Peter was employed as a civil engineer at the Bethlehem Steel Co. for many years before retiring. He was a member of Holy Trinity - Salem Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. Survivors: Sons, James Peter Meza, and wife Carol of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI and Michael Meza; grandchildren, Elizabeth Rose Shih, Emily Ann and David James Meza; great granddaughters, Allison Jane and Abigail Kathryn Shih; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Meza of Quakertown. Services: 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, followed by interment in Nisky Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call 10 - 11 a.m. Tuesday in church. Contributions: May be made to Holy Trinity - Salem Lutheran Church, 514 Third Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Online condolences may be sent to www.pearsonfh.com

Rest in peace, dear Uncle!

I'll always remember my Uncle Pete with a smile on his face. He always seemed to have a sense of humor about things. He was the last of a large Romanian family from the Northampton Heights. Rest in Peace Uncle Pete.
