Rachel L. Keller
Rachel L. Keller, 89, of Kresgeville, died Saturday in Weatherwood, Weatherly. She was the wife of the late Allen F. Keller. Born in Preachers Camp, she was a daughter of the late Elmer E. and Henrietta (Harpel) Strohl. A graduate of Lehighton High School, she had been a sewing machine operator for Sand Ridge Blouse Co., Kunkletown, for 20 years retiring in 1982. She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville. She was also a member of Polk Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Towamensing Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Franklin Township Fire Company Auxiliary. She was a life member of the Indian Mountain Rod & Gun Club, Kresgeville and the Kunkletown Rod & Gun Club, P.O. of A. and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens, Kresgeville. Survivors: She is survived by four daughters, Mae Skerce of Bensenville, Ill., Jane Keller of Kresgeville, Fay Hunsicker and Gail Christman, both of Lehighton; son, Allen F. Keller Jr. of Gilbert; two sisters, Magina Hittner and Viola Bruch, both of Kunkletown; brother, Edwin Strohl of Kunkletown; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Strohl, and by sisters, Amelia Hittner and Elsie Hasik. Services: will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville, with the Rev. Leon Zinkler officiating. Burial will be in Trachsville Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, PA 18071.
